Woman: I pay attention to politics when it costs me plenty.
Like when Al Gore cast the tie-breaking vote to tax 85% of my Social Security check. This July, House Republicans repealed the Gore tax, but Democrats refused to let it come to a vote in the Senate. So I still owe the tax. Now, Al Gore wants $50 a month from my Social Security check for his drug plan. Mr. Gore, I can't afford you. |
