Bush: For those who are retired or near retirement, there will be no changes at all to your Social Security.

Ball: My name is Bob Ball.  I was Social Security Commissioner under three Presidents.

Two Democrats and a Republican.

I've looked over Governor Bush's plan.

He takes one trillion dollars out of Social Security for savings accounts.

But Social Security is counting on that money to pay benefits.

His plan simply doesn't add up and would undermine Social Security.

Background: This ad continues the major focus the Gore campaign has placed on challenging Bush's Social Security proposals since the third presidential debate, Oct. 17, 2000.
