[Music] McCain: I guess it was bound to happen.  Governor Bush's campaign is getting desperate with a negative ad about me.

The fact is I'll use the surplus money to fix Social Security, cut your taxes and pay down the debt.

Governor Bush uses all the surplus for tax cuts with not one new penny for Social Security or the debt.

His ad twists the truth like Clinton.  We're all pretty tired of that.

As President, I'll be conservative and always tell you the truth no matter what.

Background: Bush's ad "Solid Values," which ran in SC starting Feb. 4, prompted "Trust" and then "Desperate."  Not content with the general language in "Trust" ("Do we really want another politician in the White House America can't trust?) this ad has McCain himself drawing a comparison with Clinton by name ("His ad twists the truth like Clinton.").  Bush, thoroughly offended by the comparison to Clinton responded with "Integrity" and went on the attack (see for example "Promised").
