Background: This ad, featuring excerpts from Nader's Oct. 25 press conference at the National Press Club, generated a fair amount of free media attention.  At this time in late October, media were focusing increasing attention on the threat Nader posed to Gore.  There are a couple of interesting points about the ad, in addition to its use of the Nader clip to attack Gore.  Toward the begining of the ad, there is a fairly sharp bit of editing.  Specifically, the audio of Nader's criticism is run as a voice over, while a clip of Gore is shown; Gore is shaking his head and mouthing "no" and the juxtaposition of Nader's words and his motions is quite unflattering to the vice president.  The close is rather abrupt and provides an e-mail address to the Gore campaign rather than a phone number.
