USA Today--Front page article.  Article by USA Today's Judy Keen and Jill Lawrence headlined "Fingers point as Bush, McCain clash in S.C." is at the bottom of page 1A.  On page 6A article headlined "McCain, Bush wrangle over who's really outsider" and subheaded "Each claims to be a maverick and says other is 'establishment.'"  Article includes photo by Eric Draper, AP, a medium shot showing Bush and McCain gesturing and Keyes looking on.

New York Times--Front page photo and article.  The color, above-the-fold photo [CNN credit] is a medium shot showing Bush holding up a McCain flier; McCain is shown from the back and Keyes is mostly blocked.  The article, headlined "In Hot Debate, Bush and McCain Collide Over Campaign's Tactics," is by the Times' David Firestone and Alison Mitchell.  Inside the day's paper were three full pages of campaign coverage, pages A18-A20, with page A20 devoted to the debate.  The top third of page A20 has the continuation of the front page article ("Bush and McCain Collide Over Campaign's Tactics") including an Associated Press photo showing sign waving supporters of Bush and Keyes.  The middle part of the page is Excerpts.  On the bottom part of the page is a lighter piece by the Times' Frank Bruni "From Mild Bantering to Florid Bullying, With Keyes in the Middle." 

Washington Post--Front page photo and article.  The debate was the lead story in the Post.  The article by the Post's David S. Broder and Dan Balz ran under the headline "Bush and McCain Clash" and the subhead "GOP Rivals Debate Blame for Negative Campaigning"  The accompanying photo, by Steven Senne--Associated Press, is a medium shot showing McCain and Keyes looking on and Bush, in profile, speaking.  The article continuation has the headline "Bush, McCain Blame Each Other for Negative Campaign."
