7:30 P.M. - 8:00 P.M.

  • Mr. Everett Alvarez, the first American aviator shot down over North Vietnam in 1964 and who spent eight and a half years imprisoned at the infamous "Hanoi Hilton," will lead the Pledge of Allegiance;
  • Ms. Olivia Lalewicz, a nine-year-old church choir singer from Sterling Heights, Michigan, will sing the National Anthem;
  • Mr. Jimmie Vaughan, blues guitarist, will entertain the crowd with his Tilt-a-Whirl Band;
8:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M.
  • U.S. Rep. Jim Kolbe (R-AZ) will discuss the importance of international trade;
  • Ms. Ave Bie, Wisconsin Public Service Commissioner, will speak about the importance of a sound national energy policy to help control the price of gasoline and electricity;
  • Mr. Theodore Roosevelt IV, the great-grandson of President Theodore Roosevelt, will address the need for conserving natural resources;
  • General H. Norman Schwarzkopf will appear live via satellite from the deck of the USS New Jersey to discuss military readiness;
  • U.S. Sen. Bob Dole will lead a salute to all American veterans, with a special tip of the cap to those who served during World War II, also known as The Greatest Generation;
9:00 P.M. - 10:00 P.M.
  • Mrs. Pat Funderburk Ware, president and CEO of the Preserving Family Well-Being Foundation will address Governor Bush's call for soldiers in the army of compassion and how they can help in the fight against AIDS and HIV;
  • Mr. Rick Schroder, (NYPD Blue) star;
  • Mr. Jack Cowley, the national director of operations for The InnerChange Freedom Initiative, an Oklahoma City prison ministry that is turning lives around, will speak about his program;
10:00 P.M. - 11:00 P.M.
  • Ms. Condoleezza Rice, Governor Bush's international-affairs advisor, will discuss international relations;
  • Mrs. Elizabeth Dole will discuss the principle of strength through compassion;
  • U.S. Senator Chuck Hagel (R-NE), a decorated veteran of Vietnam, will introduce U.S. Sen. John McCain;
  • U.S. Senator John McCain (R-AZ) will deliver the final policy address of the evening, focusing on the importance of military strength;

  • Father Vince Bommarito of St. Louis, Missouri, will deliver the closing benediction.
