  • Presentation of Colors by Korean War veterans of the Maryland Honor Guard;
  • Nic Lott, a 20-year-old student from the University of Mississippi, will lead the Pledge of Allegiance;
  • Lorrie Morgan, country-music superstar, will sing the National Anthem;
  • Rev. Mark Craig, pastor of Highland Park United Methodist Church in Dallas, Governor Bush's pastor, will deliver the invocation;
  • Philadelphia Boys' Choir, America's Ambassadors of Song, will perform;
  • Nancy Brinker, breast-cancer advocate, will discuss Governor Bush's efforts to fight the disease;
  • Compassion Video: St. Luke's Free Clinic in Hopkinsville, KY;
  • U.S. Sen. Bill Frist, a world-renowned heart surgeon from Tennessee and the Senate's only practicing physician, will discuss prescription drugs and the Patients' Bill of Rights;
  • Summary Video: Good Neighbor Projects, Philadelphia area;
  • Phyllis C. Hunter, Texas literacy expert serving as advisor to the Statewide Reading Initiatives program, will discuss the program;
  • Mike Rantilla, a union member from Courtland, OH, will discuss Social Security and taxes;
  • Dave Wenzel, decorated Vietnam veteran and former mayor of Scranton, PA, will discuss Governor Bush's New Freedom Initiative designed to help the disabled;
  • Bo Derek, film icon, will introduce California Assemblyman Abel Maldonado;
8:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M.
  • Abel Maldonado, California Assemblyman, will deliver remarks in Spanish focusing on Governor Bush's work to open the door to opportunity for all Americans;
  • Heather Whitestone McCallum, Miss America 1995, will introduce a video tribute to Texas First Lady Laura Bush;

9:00 P.M. - 10:00 P.M.
  • George P. Bush, nephew of Governor George W. Bush, will deliver a bilingual address about inclusion and the challenges facing young Americans;
  • U.S. Rep. Vito Fossella, (R-N.Y.), great-grandson of a U.S. Congressman who voted to create Social Security in the 1930s, will discuss Governor Bush's plans to secure the golden years of current and future retirees;
  • Sally Brenner, a 65-year-old grandmother from New Jersey, will speak via satellite about how Governor Bush's Social Security plan would keep senior citizens secure in their retirement years;
  • Amy Knutsen, the 22-year-old granddaughter of the previous speaker, will outline how Governor Bush's Social Security plan would benefit younger generations;
  • Governor Tom Ridge (R-PA), host governor of the 2000 Republican National Convention, will profile Governor Bush;
  • Rudy Bradley, a former Democratic member of the Florida House of Representatives who switched parties and became a Republican, will discuss the reasons for his switch;
  • Jan Bullock, wife of late Texas Democratic Lt. Gov. Bob Bullock, will discuss Governor Bush's success in reaching across party lines;
  • Brooks and Dunn, country music's dynamic duo, will perform;
10:00 P.M. - 11:00 P.M.
  • Nancy Weiss, a longtime friend of Governor Bush;
  • Rev. Kirbyjon Caldwell, another longtime friend of Governor Bush, will introduce a video biography of the Governor;
  • Biographical Video: Governor George W. Bush
  • Governor George W. Bush will deliver his acceptance speech;
  • His Eminence Anthony Cardinal Bevilacqua of Philadelphia, PA, will deliver the Benediction;

  • Chaka Khan, recording legend and 7-time Grammy-Award winner, will provide an electrifying climax to the convention.
