Current	Announced his campaign for the presidency on March 16, 1999.
Career	Honorary Chairman of Americans for Hope, Growth and Opportunity, a national issue advocacy organization he founded in August 1996. CEO of Forbes Inc. and editor-in-chief of Forbes magazine; writer of the "Fact and Comment" column. Sought the 1996 Republican presidential nomination, announcing his candidacy in September 1995 and winning the Delaware and Arizona primaries. Served as chairman of the board of Empower America from December 1993 to June 1996 and continues as a director. Succeeded his father, Malcolm S. Forbes, Sr., as CEO of Forbes Inc. in February 1990. Appointed Chairman of the Board for International Broadcasting (the overseer of Radio Free Europe and Radio Liberty) by President Reagan, and served from 1985-93. With Forbes Inc. since 1970.
Activities	Serves on a number of boards.
Education	Princeton, B.A. in History, 1970. At Princeton was the founding editor of the student magazine Business Today.
Family	Wife Sabina. Five daughters.
