Monday Jan. 10, 2000 in the Fine Arts Center Auditorium at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI.  7:00-8:30 p.m. (EST).

Candidates: Gary Bauer, George W. Bush, Steve Forbes, Orrin Hatch, Alan Keyes, John McCain.

Moderator: Tim Russert, moderator of "Meet the Press" and Washington Bureau Chief of NBC News.

Audience: 1,200 seat auditorium.  300 tickets for Calvin College (175 dedicated for students), 200 for the Kent County Republican Committee, 200 for the Michigan Republican Party, 100 for staff and friends of WOOD TV-8, and 200 for the campaigns.

Format: (a) Panelists Suzanne Ghia of WOOD TV-8, Emery King of WDIV (NBC-Detroit), and Joe Crawford of the Grand Rapids Press question the candidates; (b) candidates question to each other; (c) questions submitted by Calvin students; (d) closing statements.

Broadcast: Live on WOOD TV-8, Michigan Radio and Wood Radio, C-SPAN and MSNBC.
