Sen. Judd Gregg served as the stand-in for Vice President Gore during Bush's debate practice sessions. | The Associated Press reported on Aug. 3 that Gov. Jeanne Shaheen was one of six people being considered by Gore for his running mate. For several days this story and its implications received much play in New Hampshire press. |

travelling in New England on the day before the first presidential debate
in Boston, visited Concord, holding a press conference at the Legislative
Office Building and delivering a speech at Franklin Pierce Law Center.

Pat Buchanan overnighted
in Manchester on Oct. 1 and did some interviews on Oct. 2, in a
low key visit. The New Hampshire Reform Party held a press conference
at the Legislative Office Building in Concord on Oct. 2 (directly after
Nader's press conference) but the event took place without Buchanan.
The candidate headed to Maine, and, on Oct. 3, to Boston.

Harry Browne visited New
Hampshire Sept. 22-23. On Sept. 22 he and running mate Art
Olivier along with erstwhile challenger Don Gorman attended the Gun Owners
of New Hampshire banquet in Manchester. On the afternoon and evening
of Sept. 23 Browne attended the Libertarian Party of New Hampshire convention
and did some media.
