Announcer: A story about John McCain.  Congressional Medal of Honor recipient, Colonel Bud Day recalls a special Christmas in a Vietnam prison.

Col. Bud Day: Christmas service of 1971 was centered around scripture that John had gotten from the first bible we had been able to get from the Vietnamese, and it was wonderful to have the written word of God.

John composed an extremely compelling sermon that night about the importance of Christmas.

Everyone sat just glued to their seats.

I think it was certainly a shot to everyone's moral to hear those Christian words in that very un-Christian-like place.

It was remarkably touching, moving evening.

I don't think a Christmas goes by that I don't think about Vietnam.

That Christmas of 1971 was the most touching experience of my life.

Announcer: John McCain.  The Character to do what's right.  The courage to fight for it.
